Tapping the magnifying glass icon to do a search closes the app. I emailed their support and they promised to correct the issue. I've talked to a number of their support and promises to issue a fix but until now there's nothing. I've even gave them a screen shot of what's happening and have done all their recommendations but this thing is just broken. If you can't fix it, just return my money back! You are just good at taking people's money. What a waste! 1/5

When I opened up this app I expected to find synonyms for the word "opened" although what I did end up seeing was the definition and origin of the word. There is also a huge problem with how many adds that are shown. I strongly advise you to get another app to find synonyms as this app will just anger you! I have never insulted an app before and I hope this will be the last. I experience no issues with this app. The offline dictionary, search, etc, all work great on my Galaxy Note 12.2. I love how easy and interesting it is to search and hunt for words, and the concise definitions are also a plus. >>?>>I DO have two critical comments: >>1>>I'd love a way to buy away the ads!!! The (often circular) meta breakdowns of definitions are VERY cool, and really set this app apart from others. I get that that's the "Advanced" part. Just tack on a simple Thesaurus (plus an ad-free version *wink*) and this could be the best Dictionary + Thesaurus on the market. Nonetheless, I'll be using it with glee. I liked this app ok & it was handy. Then after an update, when you go to research a word, a full sized page add pops up! This was then VERY annoying. Then the next word, another full sized page pop up add, then another. How maddening! This is a sign of greediness. Go back to the way it was with perhaps ads at bottom or something. Please fix. 3/5

So the latest update now tastelessly shoves full screen pop-up ads in your face when you look up definitions. This is a reference app; you see a word, quickly look it up, and close it. There's absolutely no room in that process to think pop-up ads is a good solution. Updates like this is why it's always risky to update Android apps. You never know when the developer is gonna sell out and throw in badly placed ads everywhere. Yet another decent app ruined by nonsensical advertising. 1/5

Best free dictionary no Internet needed and nice widget. The only thing it needs is the button that let's u hear the word spoken out and no ads but other than that great app and love the favorites option so u can always go back to the words u like and want to learn. My vocabulary increased 70% with this app thank you developers!!! 5/5

Very good dictionary but the stupid full page ad killed me. I was checking a word then the stupid ad appeared and the trailer of a game that starts with very loud noise during my board meeting. That was highly embarrassing. 1 star for that. Not for professional use. 1/5

I tried about a dozen times to download the data so I could use this offline but it failed every time. Also when I used it on-line I had to wait for full page internet ads to download to get a definition. A banner ad for a pest control service is one thing. Having to wait for their web site to download is abusing the advertising privilege. I see now that many people have the same complaint that I have. I thought it might just be my internet connection (Sprint). I was even considering paying for the 'no advertising' version but was waiting until I could download the data. But I'm uninstalling it instead. There are to many good dictionaries on the web to less around with this aggravation. 1/5

Its a great app, yes, but after EVERY SINGLE SEARCH there is an ad. EVERY SINGLE SEARCH. It is very very VERY annoying to someone who needs a word quickly. Its a big waste of time. But the words and amount of words is very nice. Fix the ads. 2/5

For some reason, This has been causing me overheats lately and that is when its left in the background. The app is my prime source for definitions and familiar words but the overheat problem is distancing me from loving this app. 3/5

This is one of the greatest free English Thesaurus dictionary I've ever installed and have used it on my different devices and still using it, thank you once more developers. For those saying there were unable to get it offline, kindly install the dictionary first from play store then open it use your option key to download full data, I'm using it offline right from the first day i got the app. 5/5
