Recently started using WeatherBug again A couple years ago it was so ad ridden I got rid of it. Now using it again and it is vastly improved. All the information anyone could want for extreme weather, health alerts, maps, radar, etc. And ads are there but you have to click on them for anything to happen. Perfect! 5/5

They keep sending news like summer days and hurricane preparedness as severe weather alerts sounding alarms. I have all notifications off except severe weather and these things keep waking me up. I email support and they say turn off trending news and I tell them it is already off. I finally set notifications to no longer be allowed at night. Very very poor. I live in the middle of north america. Do I really need an alarm going off for hurricane preparedness? I already have trending off.

Very capable, no doubt about it. But, for me, perhaps TMI. I don't need or want a weather app on my phone to be this big, providing information I will never use. For instance, I'm not interested in re-ordering the dozen or more notification cards on the home page -- I want to be able to *delete* the ones that I find unnecessary. No can do, apparently. And I agree with the other observations about excessive ads. Anyway, uninstalled within 5 minutes of installing. 3/5

I would honestly give this a 5 star review, IF the two issues I have with it were resolved. First about 60% of the time the widget has dashes where the info would normally be do its useless. Second, when you open the app it immediately opens to an alert notice for the area if there is one. If I hit the back arrow to go to the normal page it closes the app about 99% of the time. It would be much better to open to the normal page and have a red banner link across the top for an alert page

This is the BEST weather app out there. It allows you the option of what station to get your weather forecast from. It also as allows you to store different cities for viewing their weather. Some people are reporting 0% chance of rain on the hourly report when the forecast calls for 80%, as an example. Yes, it does that and for the life of me I don't understand that either. The only thing that I don't like about this app is the amount of storage it requires to download. 5/5

I wish the radar would give a longer time for the future. I prefer to know at least an hour + of rain/storm predictions. I love the lightning strike section. So far very accurate. I compare to the Weather Channel app. with the weather bug app so I can see the actual storm system for several future hours! Please update your weather map. 4/5

Was a good app but has become a resource hog. Uses 600mb or more of internal RAM when running which is a lot when you phone doesn't have a lot of memory to begin with and slow to respond to taps. Still a good app but need to address high memory usage.

App has all the features I need. My only complaint relates to the widget. It appears in the widget as if a location can be set there, but it doesn't respond. After I wrote a poor review, the developer asked to engage to resolve my problem. Before we did, I discovered that a location must be set in the app itself before the widget will provide information. It would be nice if the widget had produced an error message or instruction to set the location in the app, instead of simply not responding. I won't be using the app because another one has a feature I prefer, but this one may meet many people's needs. And thanks to the developer for being so responsive! 4/5

There is always a persistent red alert notification. Even just for pollen. Very close to uninstalling this app. Not particularly accurate, the map animations require full reloading for the smallest zoom change, and it is a sea of advertising. Had this for years BUT enough is enough. 1/5

Very nice organized display. And you have some ability to rearrange it to fit your needs and push down things you do not care about. Ads do not overwhelm the display like my last weather app was doing. I also like being able to bring it up by clicking the non-annoying notification of the current temperature and weather. 5/5

Used to love this app. Worst at predicting weather. It has ruined my plans. Just now, someone said they were going golfing tomorrow and I asked, 1/5

Good overall. I find it more accurate than most. I wish I could have a more exact location dorecast, with alerts precipitation in the particular city, since it uses Google maps. Itonly seems to alert you on severe conditions - not a bad thing tho. I also don't like that the forecast radars can't be slowed down. Other than that, it works great.

I would give 5 stars, however, I have to uninstall and reinstall ever so often because part of the screen goes black, you can still read it but if you scroll the letters smear all over. I have had to uninstall and reinstall about 5 times, 6 counting now. It's frustrating. I love this app, it does something the others don't but truthfully I tired of having to uninstall and reinstall all the time. 3/5

In general the app is okay, except for one thing. I pay for the ad-free version so that it is less intrusive and annoying. Yet I still get notifications that are 100% useless. Just now I got a notification on my phone, and the message was 2/5

I enter in new places I'm going (when WB has forecasts for them), and so far it's been pretty accurate. You can get notifications from places, or not, and I absolutely love the motion radar! UPDATE: I'm actually getting pretty frustrated with the inaccuracy of the rain chances. Right now, for instance, it's raining. WeatherBug said (and still says) there's 0% chance of that, while Google weather at least gave it a 30% chance. I might have to start looking at other apps. 3/5

I like the quick access to the interactive weather radar. The forecast rarely seems accurate, however. Not sure where they are gathering their information. I never rely on anything morw than a day in advance and even that is spotty at times. 3/5

I've been using this app for about a year now. Easy to use, the information I want, the radar map is on the front page and touching it pulls it up. I especially like the 10 day and hourly forcast options. The only problem is that for the last couple of months, the precipitation probabilities have been wrong. Several times for 0% chance of rain and it pours and conversely, but less often, 100% chance of rain and not a drop.

This is the only weather app I use. I've tried almost every free weather app you can download through the years and this one is by far the best. It's easy to keep up with and the layout is simple. It's been about as accurate as it gets and gives you alot of information about the day and week 5/5

Very good app that tells you what you need to know without stupid ads. Easy to navigate. The weather map needs to run smoother. That's the only improvement needed. Still good. Update, 7-11-20.This app may not have alot of ads, but it has 30% accuracy, on a good day. They say sunny, and it's raining. They say raining, and it's sunny. The maps aren't coordinated with the forecast. Better off looking out the window.

Just started using the ad free version, and so far I'm pleased. I was a previous Dark Sky subscriber, but they are going Apple only in August 2020. The radar loads a bit slow, but I like the layering options. So far the app has been very accurate. You can rearrange the display format which is nice because while I like watching some of the weather videos and news, I don't need those anywhere near the top of the page. Solid app!

Used to b top of the list, lately its not even close to telling the right weather for my area. Idk if the update messed it up or what happened but I've switched to a different (more reliable) weather service for my forcast I'm sad to lose this as my go to because it's actually the easiest to use in my opinion. But when I wanna know what the weather will b like today I need a place I can trust to get it right... 2/5

Been using WeatherBug for many years, because it works. Daily/hourly forecasts and radar maps plus the temp in the top bar and details in the pull-down without actually launching the full-blown app. BUT now they've decided to regularly push notifications for stupid weirdness, some of which has nothing to do with weather. I contacted them about it, and they got back to me within a couple of hours. Their response is basically 'sorry you don't like it, but we aren't planning to change it'. 3/5

I've been using Weather Bug for awhile now. I love the features and graphics it offers. Always seems to be accurate. Gives storm warnings appropriately and in plenty of time to respond. I'd highly recommend it for anyone searching for one of the best! D. Bell Southwestern Georgia USA 5/5

WeatherBug provides much more weather information than the bare bones app. You can choose which of this information to display, and which not. Live color weather radar maps are easily access and used. Notifications on air quality, pollen count, ultraviolet levels, heat levels, storm approaches, and much more are easily handled -- I had no trouble setting them in a few minutes after first tackling this app. Gentle learning curve, huge selection, comfortable display, and timely messages.

I've been using Weatherbug for years, back when they were a desktop app. These days I've still think their UI is simplistic enough for my uses, unlike some other apps that fill their main screen with too much clutter, followed by too much ads. Accuracy is where it falls short. I understand that it's impossible to be super precise between predicting the future and station to station, but it's getting on my nerves when they're 10 degrees off on the day before. But that really only knocks off a star. The other star lost comes from current weather polling. There's really one station I care about, but often without warning I'm pulling data from a station 20-30 miles away, where the data is irrelevant due to terrain, bodies of water, and just overall sunlight exposure. The stations keep changing, even when I manually choose, and I can't fathom why it's happening. 3/5

I gave it 4 stars bc it's radar map phone app could be more life like if that makes any sense to you? It could show the weather on it moving too in stead of zooms. I do Love all the alerts with the pollen, ragweed, air quality, wind, thunderstorms, hail, u0026 etc. I have allergies u0026 this part helps me alot! Thank you WeatherBug!

I have to say this is one of the best I've found but at the bottom of 10 day forecasts there is a 3/5

Weatherbug has been my go-to weather app for probably 10 years, but the recent changes they made to it regarding the 100% irrelevant regional alerts (that you can't disable) has resulted in a GLITCHY, basically UNUSABLE app. I've contacted them several times about the glitches and they won't even acknowledge they exist! They claim it's a problem with my phone. I have reinstalled the app twice per their instruction and it hasn't helped. I'll be shopping around again for my weather updates...

Great radar- storm tracking. Forecasting great and now receiving Severe Weather Alerts. Updated Lightening map is working great!! Barometric pressure map legend? Colors don't match up with map. (I know, always complaining. My favorite weather app- just needs adjustment here and there). Highly recommend. 4/5

Giving this review based on four days usage. I like to give thoughtful, complete reviews so you can make an informed decision on putting app on ur device. Pros: functionality and appeal 5/5. Support, they responded fairly quickly to my questions, although the answers were not straight forward 4/5. For features this app is amazing 5/5! Cons: for accuracy app is suspect, seems more like a station connection issue and could be out of

Ilove W.B.u0026 how it puts the temp.up on my tool top of phone, so i have EASY access to back up and confirm my complaining wen i get over heated. lol. In MY opinion u0026 yes everyone seems to have one, they are the most accurate, most, user friendly, and i am very glad they ironed out the issues a while back, where it was eating up my battery most concernly it ate up all my data and ended up costing me over $50.00 in overcharges, took a while but verizon w many others comp got it handled it

It's a great app except for one annoying feature: the sensitivity of the location detector. If I walk around in an area of let's say 50 feet by 50 feet while carrying my phone, it constantly sends me notifications that it's 4/5

Update: THANK YOU, they added a switch to turn off the useless 5/5

It's a shame. I used to love this app but for months now it hasn't been giving me the correct temperatures. AccuWeather is accurate. It was spot on yesterday. I really hate the idea of deleting weather bug but I've got to. It has so many ads now and take forever to load. If it gives me accurate temperatures then I'll consider downloading the app again. Sorry weather bug. You were a fav, but not anymore.

This is an updated review. Love this app, really well organized and intuitive. You MUST turn off Battery Optimization in Android 10 or it won't update. Also, set location services to allow to run in background for best performance and lastly, either turn off data saver or allow app with data saver. This app really is 5 stars but I'll upgrade it if they could only get the widget to fit into the corner of the screen (like every other widget). Hopefully, I can give it the 5 stars it deserves soon!
