After getting updates to kitkat operating system, the camera won't save any recordings. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still no solution. 2/5

Quite hard to get the settings right for my phone. It's a bit dark when driving at night. Used to crash every 20 minutes but seems to have settled down after a while of it's own accord. Maybe an update came through, or the phone MicroSD card was dicky (since replaced), who knows it's working fine now, saving 100+ temporary video files during a driving shift and saving clips for evidential purposes or own amusement is a doddle. 5/5

Works flawlessly on my Samsung S3. Particularly like that it keeps working in the background if I'm using the phone for other purposes, such as satellite navigation or answering phone calls. Update April 2014 - latest version interferes with bluetooth phone calls. Makes horrible background noise in the conversation. Hopefully a new version will fix this. Having to drop to 3 stars, will return to 5 stars if this is fixed. 3/5

Just wanted to let you know the video freezes on startup when I upgraded my Galaxy S3 to one of the newer custom Android 4.22 Roms (SlimBean v7). I went back to older 4.22 custom (v5) ROM till fixed. 4/5

Was good, even if it brought my mtk single core, 512MB Ram phone to new levels of slow when on background mode...but it worked. Since this last update, it doesn't record when in background mode, claiming "low memory".what use is background mode if you can't have another app running? EDIT: ok, after a few memory management apps, I found that I had another app that was the real culprit, although it wasn't obvious before. Camera360 is a nice photo app, but it carries some 4 different services which run all the time. After removing it, even the slowness in background mode seems to be gone. so... back to 5 stars for you guys! :) EDIT2: Yes it does work well on 512MB of RAM, with MortPlayer playing mp3 on the foreground. I use it at full video res (which, for my phone is VGA :( ) and medium compression quality. And now that I got rid of the other memory hogging app, I can use the phone while all these things are running! 5/5

Have used this app for a long time, but a few options are missing and emailing the developer he seemed not willing to add these very basic options. First the 5 second limit for pictures. My phone can take pictures as fast as i can push a button, 5 seconds is an insult to my phone, but its a very handy auto picture app so I make do. I drive long road trips listening to music on my 16gb phone so i use an external card reader and EVERYTIME i have to manually type in the location. Simple file explorer??? 5/5

I have tried a few dashcam apps and this I believe by far to be the best one. I have noticed some of the same complaints as others, but I also recognise limitations of Android and my hardware; it would be hard for this software to get better, and yet it does. Dev is also helpful and responsive. Note guys, dash mounted phones get hot especially under heavy use, and hot phones will stop charging until cooled! Keep your phone under 120°F to avoid discharge issues. Also keep videos<5min to avoid vid-sub desync. 5/5

The video recording for this app is perfect. It breaks recording up into pre-determined lengths and has a cycling option so you can record 24/7 without ever running out of space. As pleased as I was with the video option, I was sorely disappointed with the photo abilities of this app. While other apps are capable of taking photos at a much better interval than this app, DailyRoads can barely manage to take one photo every 5 seconds, this is a deal breaker. I can only hope that the devs will fix this and stop ruining an app that has so much potential. 3/5

Like the features but not so much how it works. Captures speed very accurately, maybe 2 or so mph below. Also pinpoints you on Google Maps very accurately. Just about burned up my phone after using it for 15 minutes straight. Had to cool it down for about 15 minutes after that. Also, it will sometimes say it is recording but it isn't recording. Or you press record and don't notice it turn off a few seconds later. It's supposed to play a sound when it turns off which it usually does. But a couple times it hasn't played a sound. 3/5

Great way to keep a record in case of an accident. You never know when you need to defend yourself in court and a video speaks louder than words. Also like to add that you don't need to pay a premium unlike others to have basic access to the settings. 5/5

I was wondering about getting a dedicated auto DVR when I read an article about uses for an old Android phone. The article mentioned this app. It is amazing. I am happy to make a $6 donation. It would be great if the DailyRoads Files app could be installed on a tablet. Nevertheless, this is still a five star app for me. 5/5

After upgrade to v4 recording often stops saying "not enough memory". Rolling back to v3 with same settings fixes the problem. Overall the app is very good but I see no advantages in v4... except for Ukrainian language. 1/5

Program working well. But somthign is wrong. For ex: I set record time 10 minutes. And also i set maximum record area 100 MB... Then in folder you can see video files for every 10 minutes. Then till limit of storage area (100MB) i have 10-12 files. BUT WHEN STORAGE AREA L?M?T IS GET FULL THEN PROGRAM DELETE ALL OF THEM IN FOLDER AND BEGIN FROM BEGINING. THIS IS BAD. Should be delete one by one and which is older. If somethign happen at the moment of storage limit then what will happen. you will lost all recorded file. This is not good. Should to delete one by one from most old file. Then you will have always las 10 record.. You have to fix it in my opinion. You will need such records 1 or 2 times in your life then you are under risc to find video record. I have to find "always" video record for last 100 MB in my folder....................................................................................................... Thank you for answer. I gave examples 100 Mb size. i will keep 1500 mb i think. but even couldnt find this settings under menu. Can you write more clear where is this settingns? Thanks. 4/5

The application is very good. It has a lot of options and it does its job properly when it works. Unfortunately, it restarts my phone very often (usually at least 2 times during my 40-minute daily ride to work). I have Google Nexus 4 and I run Android 4.4.2. I've tried all options but the problem persists. I also did a phone factory reset and re-install the application but the problem persists. I'm not sure if it is Nexus 4 or application-related but it restrains me from using the software. Edit1 after reply: I already did test the lowest possible resolution. Same behavior. Tried without sounds. Tried without GPS. Tried without the accelerometer enabled. +1 star for the reply, however. 4/5

Upgrade to 5 star (S2 i1900p) works brilliantly as Dashcam. Excellent responses from Developer. GPS log/metadata is viewable overlaid on the apps own embedded video player. (playback in Portrait view to see the reverse lookup Map/street/journey) Video conversion for export is either a paid feature via devs website, or, enable *srt signature file in the 'Overlay' settings. No rear facing camera, but custom presets are handy. 5/5
