Only recently the sound has been getting distorted. It sounds like my speakers in my truck are blown, but when I pay the same song on a coherent phone it sounds perfect. I have found that the only remedy to the distortion is to change the equalizer to another preset and back. BUT when I do so the distortion goes away, yes, but the volume drops to nearly half the output, which causes me to have to crank the truck's volume up much higher than normal. The whole issue is reset again if I receive a call.Fix plz 2/5

Bought this app to see if it could actually make Google play Music sound any better.... But the sound D effects to are mediocre and doesn't make the music sounds any better, lame effects, mediocre options, nothing better than what Google music offers, Power amp offers a better all around media player with better eq than this..... Oh and BTW I don't need a refund..... You can keep the money. 1/5

I have tried the free version because I bought an in-ear phones that are a bit bassy, and I was trying around some EQ apps to tone down the bass a bit. This one worked best among those I tried; however, while I was finally giving it a full test, it kept on turning on and off the EQ while my phone's music player and Spotify was playing. The worst part is this is happening within the songs. 3/5

Eq is good, works just great, the custom one is fine- BUT!!!! and this is the important part, guys... All the features that actually matter are only available if you buy the full version, which makes it kind of useless. No bass boost, no sound amping, no surround sound simulating, AND(this was the dealbreaker for me) you cannot save your custom presets. It works fine, but every time you close it, you will have to recreate your presets. Personally, Im going to find another app. One with ads or something. 3/5

Actually the bass n all the effects it delivers is perfect . .. There is no crackling sound now...... Which was annoying when i was using the stock equalizer....... But now i am truly satisfied with this app.... But mind it except this all other apps of same kind available on playstore are all totally shit n full of ads.....*****!!! 5/5

This equalizer was phenomenal. It worked seamlessly with Google play music, and it really helped bring out the true quality of your music. The presents provide crisp treble with heavy/deep bass. This equalizer corrects for muffled, tunnel sounding music and gives clear, balanced audio. Do not listen to your music without this equalizer, the sound difference is remarkable. 3/5

I love bass boosted music and this app works decenctly but I have problems raising boost bar as well as surround. Help please. It also turns equalizer off alot 2/5

Using on a Nexus 5 with Google Play Music. Equalizer function is very good and music sounds good until the volume suddenly jumps up or down. Volume fluctuations make the app unusable. Fix this problem and I'll reinstall. 2/5

Selected Latin preset, and full bass on the Effects tab and POW - GREAT sound now. Easy to use worthwhile app. UPDATE: new version has ruined this app. Auto detect doesn't work. After receiving any text you have shutoff the EQ and start it again. Older version did not have this issue. Uninstalled. 2/5

Like other reviewers have said, the volume randomly drops sometimes. There are other, smaller bugs, but this one is absolutely the most annoying. When it works (which it does 90% of the time), it's great. 3/5

White noise with any equalizer presets on when volume is low. Sometime you hear beeping and other random noises. This does not occur if you turn the volume up, which you can't do with ear buds without going deaf. It is not the phone as this is my second S5 and am having the same issue. This problem needs to be fixed. 1/5

First, the design problems: no numerical values on the controls, new Material Design influenced look is confusing. Then, the bugs: bass boost no longer works, volume changes sporadically even outside of the app. This is an example of a previously great app that takes a huge step back for the sake of prettiness. 2/5

In its current state this app is pretty much useless. The volume goes incredibly quiet (sometimes nearly silent) the moment you turn the EQ on. Also the creator seems to have abandoned it - it hasn't been updated in ages. Great when it works though. 1/5

I've tried many equalizers and this one is one of the best. It initializes quickly when music is playing (where others have a half second delay where the audio starts without the eq and then "snaps" into place). I run into one problem consistently with Spotify, where sometimes cycling to a next or previous song will stop all audio on my Samsung Note 3 altogether, forcing me to reboot before audio comes back. 3/5

I really like the new update, especially the UI. But there is something wrong with the bass boost. The further you slide to the right, there is only little bass that comes out, probably almost to nothing. However, when slide to the right, but not too far, the bass comes out dramatically, as if I set the bass boost to 100% in the older version. Please fix this. Really like the app, because I've been using it for years. 4/5

Can barely hear my music now and no bass.. Its pretty annoying when I can hear everything going on around me over my headphones at the highest level now.. Ive had this app over a year and now thinking of uninstalling if you guys don't get your stuff together.. 1/5

I can adjust the bass boost and the amplifier. The preset EQs and the custom sliders make zero changes. I've had this installed for about 10 months but it seems like it's been half broke all this time 1/5

When it works, it works well. There is an unfortunate tendency to stop working with spotify every few days. I only ever use spotify. The only way I can get it to work again is by restarting my phone. My phone reboot isn't that long of a wait, so its not a major hassle. Its not getting five stars until this is no longer an issue though. It took me forever to try the reboot thing. 3/5

On Kit Kat Nexus 5, worked great. Does not seem to work on Nexus 6 or on Lollipop. Worse because of the way Lollipop handles notifications, there is always a notification in the middle of your screen showing you the preset. Was easy to ignore in old notification drawer, not so much in Lollipop. 2/5

I love this app,but for the last month& a half it hasn't been working. I've had this app for a few years now & I bought the unlock key, never had a problem with it before until as of lately ... It says that its on but just does nothing to the volume off the music. Please fix asap. 1/5

I can't give this app a bad rating because it is a great app and the faults with it not working aren't only with this equalizer app, but with any equalizer app. On my Motorola Droid 2 running 2.3.4 the app works flawlessly. On the phone I bought the app on my LG Enact VS890 the app worked the first time I opened it and hasn't worked since. I've found this is a problem with phones running Android 4.3.x and 4.4.x. So it's not the app it has something to do with your phone's OS. But all that said hopefully the developers' can fix these issues. 4/5

This app used to be amazing but not anymore. I used it because it was among the few apps that could boost the volume of my Bluetooth stereo head set from Motorola. Even with plug in headphones, which I hate, the EQ has hardly any effect at all on the sound, quality or volume. In fact turning on the EQ actually reduces volume significantly. Need to do some serious work on this app before I recommend it to anyone again. I have recommended this app to a lot of friends and they have all had the same problems. 1/5

I was disappointed by my phone's sound level. After I installed this app, I just love to listen to the songs in my phone. I did custom settings & it takes music to entirely different level. Not only songs but also the phone ringtone has improved. Awesome app. 5/5

This app changes the volume of any music playing, in any music app, without your consent. The results are awful and unexpected waves of loud/audible to quiet, over and over again. I paid for the unlock app and not all of the features that it states in the description are unlocked. 1/5

First, it is extremely buggy. The volume randomly changes and the presets dont stay permanent. Also, the metal preset is horrendous, so the auto-detect function is a terrible option for me. Now aside from the bugs, the software is not worth the price. There are only 5 channels, which is sad. Poweramp, on the other hand, has around 10, which makes the app sound incredible. Sadly I have to use this app for spotify. If you're going to make me pay, make the actual equalizer itself have more to offer. 1/5

When this came up It was a great equalizer. But like everything. You start making money and You put some one else in charge and here we are..People the sound get better in Flat Yes in FLAT...YOU DONT NEED NO EQUALIZER TO SELECT FLAT..THANKS for messing something was real good.. 2/5

Not sure what this update has done. Still the same problem with Bass Boost & Surround Sound still doesn't work, & the Sound Amplifier cuts off after each song, which I have 2 restart it each time. Also some songs cut out when I skip 2 the next song. Plezzz fix this, or brin back the old, as I use this with PlayerPro. Thank u 2/5

This app is smooth and is exactly what anyone needs as an equilizer on an android device. If you are one of the odious who can't turn on bass boost hit the power button on the top right of the app. 5/5

There are some other features, like the bass boost, that do not work for my LG G3. When turned on, the volume gets very quiet to the point of unusable. 2/5

Works great on Nexus 7 (4 or 5 stars). Messes up loudness (limits volume below phone's defaults) on my HTC One Remix (1 star). Averages out to three stars... Great if it works on your phone. EDIT: If you read reviews it seems to be the latest update causing these issues. Dev, you have a great product if it wasn't so glitchy! 3/5

I'm having to uninstall and reinstall whenever it starts to have problems. The EQ settings do not stay permantent, it changes on its own and over time it gets worse. It stops running more often the longer I use it. When it works it is the best in play store but it has too many bugs. Pls devs make it work. 3/5

This is my go to EQ for streaming Spotify via my older Samsung Galaxy S3. Great effects and enhancements to streamed and stored music. On LG G3 however, when I use any of the presets or effects it reduces the volume of the music significantly. Volume enhancement isn't available on the LG G3 (device issue not the app), so unfortunately I can't increase the volume that way. Makes it a deal breaker for me. Equalizer FX app doesn't seem to lose volume, so for now on the G3 I'm using that. 4/5

The app is great and i love the mterial design however after that specific update, volume started to drop randomly and bass booster started having issues.... Would give the app a 5 stars when you fix it. 3/5
